Dear Students,

I am a collector of quotes, and it is the saying above that inspired the title of our class website: PTHS English Garden.  I added the subtitle to acknowledge that in addition to reading and discussing books, we will also “grow” this year through our writing assignments.

I am happy to be your guide as we explore the elements of literature and language that help us connect and communicate with one another.  And as the focus of our course is World Literature, we will experience this connection and communication across time and place, illustrating the concept of universality.
